Little Bit & Sarah

Our Story

Welcome to Bit of Heaven Farm; a private, wooded property that specializes in layovers and short term boarding. We offer stalls, dry lots, paddocks and pastures with cozy on-site human accommodations and hookups for guests traveling with living quarter trailers. Regardless of our choice of resting space, you will be steps from your equine(s) throughout your stay. We are conveniently located off I-70 just east of Columbus, Ohio and look forward to hosting you for whatever brings you to the area, e.g., long distance transport, relocation, Equine Affair, Quarter Horse Congress, trail riding, local shows, hunter pace, fox hunting or polo.

The name of the Farm is in honor of my first horse, Little Bit.  Our history pre-dates his birth in 1999 as his mother was my mount until her passing.  We enjoyed many activities before his retirement; trail riding, hunting, jumping and dressage.   Bit continues to bring great joy to my life, and I simply wish to share his namesake with others.  Most people ask why he is not on the property.  While he was here at one time, he and my younger horse are 3 miles away at a dear friend’s with indoor and outdoor riding spaces. This has allowed the property to be used solely for layovers and short term boarding.

My technical background is pharmacy management in which I spent 24 years until transitioning to a consulting role in 2018.  I now have the ability to combine my passion for horses and business.   Many thanks to my loving husband, sons, parents, siblings, grandparents, in-laws, friends, mentors, business partners and contractors who made all of this possible.

We hope you enjoy your visit.
